This 1 day course covers the essentials that an employee would need to become an Emergency First Aider in the workplace for the purposes of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. It is a fantastic course and one most suited for those who already work or are preparing to work.
The topics covered will teach employees the roles and responsibilities of the Emergency First Aider, how to assess an incident, how to recognise the signs and symptoms of an injury or illness and how to assist a casualty who is suffering from these symtoms.
This qualification is assessed through oral questioning and practical demonstration.
Due to the nature of the course and the depth of knowledge required to teach employees this course will run for a minimum of 6 hours over 1 day.
All successful employees who complete the course will be awarded with an Emergency First Aid at Work Certificate and a wallet-sized plastic card outlining their qualification which is valid for 3 years.
