This accredited qualification aims to inform employees of the basic food safety practices that are crucial in the catering industry. This includes identifying the hazards and risks to food safety that can be caused by food operations and personnel, identifying cost-effective control measures and outlining improvements to increase the food safety of catering services.
This qualification is developed specifically for those who are, or are wanting to be, handling food in the catering industry. It is also suitable for those who provide services to catering premises including maintenance engineers, pest control operators, cleaners and delivery personnel.
This is an Ofqual approved qualification and has been created specifically for insertion onto the Qualifications and Credit Framework with full support from People 1st, the Sector Skills Council for Hospitality, Leisure, Travel and Tourism. It meets with industry and regulatory standards and is recognized by environmental health practitioners, auditors and other enforcement officers.
This qualification is available in English, Modern Chinese, Hindi, Polish, Arabic, Malayalam and Thai.
