This qualification aims to educate employees on the key aspects of food safety, teach them to understand specific types of hazards, as well as understand the controls and monitoring associated with the manufacturing of food. The course will also look into the differences between manufacturing and catering environments and will ensure employees are aware of and adhere to the requirement for businesses to fully train all food handlers.
Upon successful completion of this course employees will know how to ensure food safety in any size or type of food manufactoring environment.
This qualification is developed specifically for those who are, or are wanting to be, in food or drink production. It is also suitable for those who provide services to catering premises including maintenance engineers, pest control operators, cleaners and delivery personnel.
This is an Ofqual approved qualification and has been created specifically for insertion onto the Qualifications and Credit Framework with full support from Improve, the Sector Skills Council for the food and drink manufacturing industry in the UK. It meets with industry and regulatory standards and is recognised by environmental health practitioners, auditors and third party customers who require the manufacturer to demonstrate that they have trained staff to a recognised level.
