JOB TITLE: Employer Engagement Officer
Reports to: Head of Employer Engagment
Base: Leeds, with exception of travel to other sites
Salary: £30k – £32k

Job Purpose: Engage with employers to support progression for learners.

The Employer Engagement Officer is a key member of the team, supporting our learners in gaining access to a variety of employment or further training opportunities. The post holder will be involved in identifying employers offering work placements and employment opportunities, which match the skills, experience and aspirations of the learner, whilst also coordinating work placement opportunities for learners. The Employer Engagement Officer will ensure that they continually identify and build relationships with employers and FE providers. The role will also involve offering advice and guidance on employment pathways, career development, and career and job fair-type events. Aim2Learn are a national provider of training to unemployed learners.

The successful candidate will undertake the following main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop an employer engagement plan in line with agreed performance measures. The plan will include a rationale for employer targets along with short- and long-term goals, which will include:
  • Building strong employer relationships
  • Securing employment for learners
  • Setting up employer interviews and securing work placements
  • Supporting the transition, where appropriate, from further education or work placement into employment
  • Effectively seek out employers who are willing to provide employment opportunities and or work experience placements, which match the learners’ skills, experience and aspirations.
  • Develop professional, long-lasting and mutually beneficial relationships with employers.
  • Establish, develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of local labour markets and issues affecting recruitment to share with others within the team.
  • Confidently and professionally promote Aim2Learn Pre-Employment Services by representing the organisation at appropriate events and presenting aims and objectives to potential employers, which in turn would increase the awareness of Aim2Learn services.

The ideal candidate must possess the following Skills, Experience and Qualities:

  • Have a current network of contacts within the business and education sector
  • Strong and demonstrable experience in a high-volume sales environment
  • Not shy to pick up the phone
  • Good ICT skills, particularly with Microsoft packages, including Excel.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Educated to a minimum of GCSE grade C in English and Maths or equivalent.
  • Able to follow processes

JOB TITLE: Qualification and Exams Office Apprentice
Reports to: Head of DATA & MIS
Base: LEEDS

Job Purpose: The Qualification and Exams Officer Apprentice will support the organisation, coordination, and administration of examinations and assessment activities across our national delivery network. This includes ensuring accuracy, compliance, and quality in line with awarding body and funding requirements. This role provides a structured learning opportunity to gain hands-on experience in business administration while completing the Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship.

Examination and Assessment Administration

  • Support the planning and administration of all internal and external exams across multiple centres and online platforms.
  • Assist with learner registration, result entry, and certification claims with relevant awarding bodies.
  • Maintain exam timetables, candidate lists, and tracking documentation.
  • Ensure secure handling, storage, and dispatch of exam papers and assessment materials in accordance with JCQ and awarding body regulations.
  • Support coordination and scheduling of invigilators and assessment venues.
  • Contribute to the completion of compliance audits, Ofsted preparation, and internal quality reviews.

    Quality and Standardisation

  • Provide administrative support to internal and external quality assurance processes.
  • Take accurate minutes of standardisation and quality meetings, ensuring that key actions, decisions, and responsibilities are recorded and distributed promptly.
  • Track follow-up actions arising from standardisation meetings to ensure timely completion.
  • Maintain version control of quality documents, policies, and meeting records in line with organisational data management procedures.

    General Administration

  • Support the Data/Compliance and Quality teams with routine administrative tasks, including correspondence, document filing, and data entry.
  • Handle enquiries from learners, tutors, awarding bodies, and external agencies in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential, and compliant records in accordance with GDPR.
  • Assist in the development and continuous improvement of administrative systems and processes.

    Learning and Development

  • Complete all on- and off-the-job learning associated with the Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship.
  • Participate in training sessions, workshops, and regular progress reviews with your line manager and training provider.
  • Develop core competencies including communication, planning, decision-making, and quality-focused working.
  • Contribute ideas for improving efficiency, compliance, and learner experience.

    Other

Job Purpose

To ensure timely and accurate administrative records are maintained and ensure compliance against internal and external requirements.

Main Responsibilities

• To validate enrolment and learning evidence within the strict timeframes required for data returns.
• To perform eligibility and suitability checks for learners accessing Aim2Learn learning programmes.
• To enter data on to management information systems accurately within the strict timeframes required for data returns.
• To register learners and claim qualifications on Awarding Organisation systems within the required deadlines within Awarding Organisation guidelines.
• Create and maintain all necessary learner tracking records.
• Prepare and maintain any relevant learning evidence and system logins for course commencement and closure.
• Create and maintain any relevant paperwork, procedures and guidelines.
• Prepare and validate learner files for archive and audit.
• Carry out any necessary audits within the scope of the department.
• Work within the funding requirements and guidance of all the organisations that fund the organisation.
• Contribute to any external audits, inspections or verification visits.
• Compliance with internal and external audit requirements and demands.
• Compliance with Ofsted/Matrix requirements and demands.

JOB TITLE: Enrolment Officer

Base: Leeds with the expectation of travel to other sites

Job Purpose

Providing an effective and timely service in the enrolment of students onto Aim2Learns programmes of learning. Responsible for the administration of new student enrolments, eligibility checks, and new student communication and query resolutions.

Main Responsibilities

• To lead on student enrolments including enrolment appointments, the administration of enrolments and undertaking follow up actions as appropriate.
• Lead on the checking and verification of student eligibility in line with funding rules and legislation.
• Conduct prior attainment checks and review initial assessment results for students in line with programme and funding requirements.
• Work closely with the learner recruitment officers to ensure that learner enrolments are completed quickly and efficiently whilst maintaining the levels of quality and compliance required by Aim2Learn and its funders.
• Deliver effective Information, Advice and Guidance at enrolment sessions and resolve any queries
• Use systems effectively to ensure that evidence collection and claims preparation activity remains up to date and auditable.
• To play a key role in ensuring exceptional customer experience is at the forefront of all admissions processes and procedures.
• Contribute to any external audits, inspections or verification visits.
• Compliance with internal and external audit requirements and demands.
